Founded in April 2025, Nova Umbra Foundation was established with a simple mission: to support LGBTQ+ youth who lack affirming resources and support systems.
Our Mission
Nova Umbra Foundation exists to support LGBTQ+ youth in North America through accessible mental health services, educational resources, peer support systems, clothing donations, and affirming guidance.
We seek to empower young LGBTQ+ individuals to express their authentic identities by offering compassionate and confidential access to non-judgmental care, resources, and mentorship.
Our Vision
We envision a world where every LGBTQ+ young person has the support and resources they need to thrive as their authentic self, regardless of their circumstances.
By providing practical assistance with essential needs like housing security, clothing, medication access including hormone replacement therapy (HRT), and mental health support, we aim to remove barriers that prevent LGBTQ+ youth from living with dignity and pride.

Housing Security Assistance
Support for youth facing housing insecurity due to familial rejection
Gender-Affirming Clothing
Access to clothing that aligns with gender identity for those without the means to purchase their own

Assistance with accessing hormone replacement therapy and other necessary medications
Mental Health Support
Connections to affirming mental health resources and community support systems
